Welcome to The Chequers Inn situated in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir. The Chequers Inn dates back to the 17th century, is a stone’s throw from Belvoir Castle and offers the ultimate country dining experience – a laid back, relaxed atmosphere combined with the finest food in the area.

Roaring log fires welcome you in the winter whilst our pretty garden with views to the Castle invite you to while away a lazy sunny summer afternoon. An extensive range of imported continental lagers, real ales and fine wines complement our modern cuisine available in all areas of the Inn. You may choose to dine in either the busy bar the Bakehouse Restaurant (17th Century) or the more intimate Red Room. For those seeking a bigger atmosphere, there is also our contemporary dining room complete with it’s own cocktail bar.

The Chequers Inn also offers four comfortable en suite bedrooms in a converted stable block adjacent to the Inn. The Inn boasts it’s own cricket pitch where cricket is played throughout the summer on Sundays and also a petanque pitch in the garden – boules are available from behind the bar!
